Best coaching in the GTA. Friendly and technical training partners. Also the best women’s only class I’ve seen around.

The absolute best gym to train BJJ, for beginners or advanced students! Alex Zahabi is a patient, intelligent, and humble coach who structures his classes in a way that everyone is able to learn, no matter what their learning style is. The environment created is extremely safe and welcoming, with a culture based on teamwork and growth!

Frequently Asked Questions

How many people in each class?2023-09-26T22:52:46-04:00

These classes will be semi-private (no more than 8 people). Black belt Ahmad Zahabi will be providing detailed instruction to this small class.

How many classes per week?2023-09-26T22:48:39-04:00

One class per week occurring at 6pm on Fridays.

Can I participate in regular classes in tandem with the beginners course?2023-09-26T22:44:37-04:00

Completing the beginners course will give you everything that you need to jump straight into a basics class.

Doing both at the same time is your choice. Doing the course before jumping into the basics classes is ideal.

I don’t have a GI (uniform), can I still do the 4-week course?2023-09-26T22:31:16-04:00

A gi is not required to participate in the 4-week course. The course is meant for beginners who only have a t-shirt and shorts.

We ask you not to wear overly loose shirts, shorts with zippers, or shorts with pockets to keep from training partners fingers and toes getting caught.

Is head instructor Alex Zahabi related to Firas Zahabi of Tristar Gym?2023-09-26T22:38:12-04:00

Yes.

Firas and Alex are brothers. Alex’s BJJ journey started when Firas introduced him to BJJ.

Firas, Alex and GSP started their BJJ journey as white belts together in the late 90’s.
